Drone Roof Survey
High-resolution aerial photography of your roof — detailed inspection without scaffolding.
- 4K aerial photography and video
- No scaffold needed — saves cost
- Fixed pricing with no hidden extras
See Every Detail Without Scaffolding
Some roofs are difficult or expensive to inspect using traditional methods — tall buildings, steep pitches, fragile roof coverings or properties where scaffold access is impractical. Drone surveys solve this problem by capturing high-resolution aerial photography and video of every part of your roof from above, giving us detailed imagery that often reveals more than a physical inspection.
Radiant Roofing operates licensed drone surveys across Kent, Sussex and Surrey. Our drone captures 4K imagery of your entire roof, which we review frame by frame to identify cracked tiles, missing mortar, failed flashings, blocked gutters and other defects. You receive the full set of images alongside a written assessment with recommendations.

Frequently Asked Questions
A drone roof survey typically costs between £100 and £350. A standard residential property costs £100 to £200. Larger or complex properties with multiple roof sections run £200 to £350. This is significantly cheaper than erecting scaffold for a physical inspection.
For identifying visible defects — cracked tiles, failed mortar, lifted flashings, blocked gutters — a drone survey is excellent and often reveals more than a physical inspection because it captures every angle. However, it cannot assess the feel of timbers, the condition of roof space insulation or detect subtle damp issues. For the most comprehensive assessment, we recommend combining drone imagery with a loft space inspection.
Our drone pilots hold the required CAA qualifications and insurance. We check airspace restrictions before every flight and comply with all regulations. In most residential areas, no additional permissions are needed. If your property is near an airport or in restricted airspace, we will let you know during booking.
We cover Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex and Surrey. Our drone teams regularly carry out surveys in Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Uckfield, Haywards Heath, East Grinstead and surrounding areas.
We need dry conditions with light to moderate winds. Rain, heavy wind and fog prevent safe flying and reduce image quality. If conditions are not suitable on the day, we reschedule at no extra cost.
